Thompson City Council consists of a Mayor and severn Councillors, elected for a term of four years. The current term of office runs from October 2006 to October 2010. Each year the Mayor appoints a Deputy Mayor.
City Council normally meets every Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall.
