National Lifeguard Course
Prerequisites - 16 years old, current Bronze Cross Award
Builds on fundamental skills, knowledge and values taughts by Lifesaving Society.  NLS develops an understanding of lifeguarding principles, good judgement and a mature responsible attitude toward the role of the lifeguard.  Primary role is the prevention of emergency situations and effective resolutions of emergencies.  Prepares candidates to be facilitators of safe, enjoyable equatics.

Canadian Red Cross Emergency First Aid & CPR
This 8 hour course offers simple First id & CPR techniques taught in an interactive environment for individuals who want an overview of First Aid & CPR for the workplace or home.  This course covers the skills neede to recognize, prevent and respond to cardiovascular emergencies for adults, CPR Level A and other topis such as choking airway and breathing emergencies and prevention of disease transmission.  Upon successful completion of this course participants will obtain  a 3-year certification in Emergency First Aid & CPR Level A.  This course is conducted by a certified Red Cross First Aid Instructor.  This class is open to anyone 14 years of age and older.  Course fee includes books & material.  There is no prerequisties for this course.


Standard First Aid CPR  "B"
This 16 hour course offers Emergency First Aid plus Spinal Injury Management, Soft Tissue Injuries, Sprains and Strains, Medical Emergencies, Heat/Cold Emergencies, Poisoning, etc.

Babysitting Course
The Norplex offers a Red Cross Babysitting Course.  Minimum age is 12 years.  This course includes some first aid and teaches the students how to make a safe responsible environment while caring for children.  It also provides training on how to react to emergency situations.  Courses will be held on Tuesday & Thursday evenings from 4:00pm-7:30pm.  Please note that one course means attendance at both classes that week.  To register visit the Norplex Pool or for more information call 677-7963.

Red Cross Learn to Swim
The Norplex Pool offers the Red Cross Aqua Quest lessons for all ages.  Saturday lessons are also offered.

Pool space is available for your party or function.  We also have a meeting room available for your party, meeting or course.
