C.A.Nesbitt Arena

The C.A. Nesbitt Arena is our premier ice surface. It is home to our biggest games and biggest special events. We generally have ice in the rink from the middle of August to the Easter long weekend.

The C.A. Nesbitt has seating for approximately 1000 people with additional standing room for 200 more people. The bleachers are wood benches which are numbered for assigned seating.

The C.A. Nesbitt has 10 dressing rooms, a girls dressing room, a tournament room, a first aid room and Mens and Womens Restrooms.

G.B. Arena

The Gordon Beard Arena was named after Gordon Beard, a prominent citizen in the Thompson area. It was put up in 1974 with artificial ice and is our second ice surface measuring 180ft. by 80ft. The Gordon Beard has bench seating for 200 spectators and is joined to the C.A. Nesbitt Arena and the Recreation Centre.

The Gordon Beard Arena generally hosts ice activities from mid October through to the Easter long weekend. The rest of the year the surface is open to floor rentals such as Lacrosse, Ball Hockey, Indoor Soccer, Trade Shows, Conventions and more.
