In accordance with Bill 57 Public Sector Compensation Disclosure Act, all municipalities in Manitoba are required to disclose to the public the amount of compensation it pays to officers and employees whose compensation is $50,000 or more.

The City of Thompson core values state that we will operate in an open and transparent manner and be open to the public and be consistent with legislation. In the spirit of transparency and ease of access to information, you can now find the City of Thompson’s gross compensation (compensation includes all salaries and allowances, overtime payments, vacation payouts, taxable benefits and retroactive pay) of employees over $50,000 for 2014 on our website.

  • MAYOR AND COUNCIL APPROVE WASTEWATER TREATMENT BORROWING BY-LAW

    THOMPSON, January 24, 2017 –After receiving approval from the Manitoba Municipal Board the Friday prior, the City of Thompson’s Mayor and Council passed the second and third readings of Borrowing Bylaw 1948-2016 at a special regular meeting of City Council on January 23, thereby approving the financing model that will fund the upcoming replacement of the city’s current wastewater treatment facility.   • HYDRANT REPAIR - ROTARY SPLASH PARK AREA, APRIL 26, 2016

    Please be advised we are repairing a fire hydrant at the Rotary Splash Park today. This will not cause water disruption in the area. For the safety of our crews and the public, we will be closing the road in front of the Rotary Splash Park on Deerwood Drive and Caribou Road.
