This event takes place annually on the third weekend in June.
The festivities include thrilling rides, a midway, the National King Miner Contest (see next), native games, a parade, mud races, canoe races, and many other events. The festivities take place at the recreation grounds near the Arena and Curling Club (look for the King Miner Statue).
Nickel Days also has several performances of professional stage shows which include a great variety of entertainment performed by Thompson's ethnic community.
