Minutes & Agendas

Council business is discussed in two different meetings: in the Committee of the Whole, and in Regular Meetings of Council.

Committee of the Whole meetings take place the first and third Monday of the month. The schedule can be found below.

Regular Meetings of Council are held every second and fourth Monday of the month.

Both meetings start at 7:00 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers at 226 Mystery Lake Road.

Statutory Holidays: If the Committee of the Whole or Regular Meeting of Council falls on a Monday that is a holiday as established in The Interpretation Act; a civic holiday or any other legislative closure, the Committee of the Whole or Regular meeting of Council shall be the next day, being Tuesday.

Extra Mondays: If there is a fifth Monday of the week, there will be no meeting held.
 

Council business is organized through development of a formal agenda. The agenda ensures meetings are held in an efficient and effective manner.
 
Council meeting minutes are the official public record of council decisions. Official versions of all minutes and agendas can be obtained with the payment of a fee from the Executive Assistant to the City Manager.

Watching Public Hearings, Committee of the Whole and Regular Meetings of Council

Committee of the whole and regular meetings of council can be watched online via Zoom. Recordings of the committee of the whole and regular meetings of council are also posted on YouTube and on Facebook within 24 hours of the meeting.
